Courseware Company training materials and courseware
Courseware Company methodology and expertise
The Courseware Company, as part of gtslearning, has built a proven methodology to ensure that courseware is developed to meet the exacting criteria of customer needs, vendor-approval and learning objectives.
In brief, the courseware development process takes place in four stages:
Devise course structure to include:
- all certification objectives (where applicable)
- natural progression through topics for target audience
- balance between theory and practical labs sessions
Write course to fit our specification:
- Course orientation (objectives, outcomes, target audience, requirements)
- Course navigation elements (contents, index, glossary, exam objectives/mapping)
- Module and unit organization (objectives, exam mapping, durations, review items and labs, summaries)
- Catering for learning styles (balance of text, graphics and tables, regular test items through practicals and review, space for students to take notes)
- Practice exams (final course assessment)
Develop instructor resources
- Setup and equipment guide
- Timings and delivery advice
- PowerPoints mapped to topics
- Feedback forms
Ensure course quality
- Vendor (CompTIA CAQC) / standards approval process
- Proofreading and labs testing
- Feedback from instructors
- Comprehensive review and rewriting (for exam update or similar)
Adoption of this methodology has enabled the Courseware Company to develop a complete programme of courseware for many desktop products, technical applications and business skills.
