GoLive CS2 Basic

This 1-day course teaches the fundamental features and functions of Adobe GoLive CS2. Students will learn basic techniques for creating and modifying Web sites, including how to format text, apply styles, create tables, apply images and links, manage Web site files, and publish a Web site.

On course completion, students will learn how to:

• Discuss basic Internet and HTML concepts, identify the components of the GoLive interface, edit and format text, view the HTML code of a Web page, and get help with using GoLive CS.
• Create, modify, and submit a site diagram; create a new Web site; organize site files; embed images; and specify settings for Web pages.
• Create paragraphs, insert special characters and non-breaking spaces, create basic page structures, format text by applying HTML styles and list formats, create CSS style sheets, and add style sheet rules to control the appearance of content.
• Create tables to arrange data and control page layout, set row and column properties, format tables, and use a layout grid to design pages.
• Choose appropriate image formats, create text images, set image attributes, and apply images as backgrounds.
• Create links to other pages and resources; create anchors, e-mail links, and image maps; and apply CSS styles to format links.
• Troubleshoot your site for download issues and broken links, connect to a server that will host your Web site, and upload a Web site

Target audience

Students taking this course should be comfortable using a Windows-based PC, but they should have little or no prior experience with Adobe GoLive CS2
