Freehand MX Intermediate

After completing this one-day course, students will know how to:

• Create a column and set text attributes; add text in a path; add text along a path; convert text to paths; wrap text around an object; create a table by using tabs, paragraph rules, and column and row options; add rules between columns and rows; and create, select, and color a chart.
• Draw an arc by using the Arc tool, spray objects on a page by using the Graphic Hose tool, use the Expand Stroke and Connector tools and brush stroke attributes, create images by using the Variable Stroke Pen and the Calligraphic Pen tools.
• Use the Align panel to arrange objects; turn an object into a guide; find and replace objects; use the Inset Path tool; transform two-dimensional objects into three-dimensional objects; position images accurately; and erase paths

Target audience

You should have basic knowledge of FreeHand MX gained through experience or attendance on a FreeHand MX Basic course. Students should be comfortable using a personal computer and Windows 98 or later. Students will get the most out of this course if their goal is to use FreeHand MX as a tool to become proficient graphics professionals and to create efficient and cost-effective illustrations for print and the Web .
