After completing this one-day course, students will know how to:

  • Draw paths by using the Freehand and Pen tools, select, copy, modify, and delete paths, extract and retract handles on a point by using the Pointer tool, modify images by using the Freeform tool, and position objects using the Snap tool.
  • Create colors in the Color Mixer panel, add, apply, and rearrange colors in the Swatches panel, and apply fills such as basic, gradient, tiled, textured, and lens fill, and strokes to objects.
  • Create a text block and add text to it, link text blocks, change font and font size, apply colors and styles, adjust space and leading of text, check the spelling, search text in your document, add text within a path, add text along a path, and convert text to a path.
  • Create layers, assign objects to layers, duplicate layers, view layers in different modes, lock, unlock, merge, hide, and remove layers
