After completing this one-day course, students will know how to:

  • Modify the shape of images by using the Fisheye Lens and Shadow tools, and the transparency effect; create different effects by using the 3D Rotation tool, the Bevel and Emboss tool, and the Perspective Grid; create and modify blends by using the Blend tool; and smudge objects by using the Smudge tool.
  • Modify paths by using the Bend, Add Points, and Roughen tools; use the Knife tool to divide paths; join paths and make slits; and mask paths by using the Paste Contents command.
  • Create an additional page, and navigate and rearrange pages by using the Add Pages button; attach a URL to a document by using the Navigation panel, and publish a document on the Web by using the Publish as HTML feature.
  • Examine the PostScript and non-Postscript printers and print documents by using the Output Area tool; overprint images, gradient fills, and inks by using the Overprint option.
  • Import single-page and multi-page documents by using the Import option; export a FreeHand document as a bitmap, an EPS, and a text file by using the Export option, and create an animation by using the Release to Layers option.
  • Set Flash Export options by using the Export option, and view a document in Flash Player; set the attributes of a Flash movie and edit an imported Flash movie; and import PNG files, and use Fireworks to edit and optimize imported bitmap images
