After completing this one-day course, students will know how to:

  • Start QuarkXPress, use the Tools palette and Measurements palette, create single page documents, insert text and pictures into documents, and save and close documents
  • Create and edit Master pages; use Master pages to create multipage documents; import text from Word files into documents; navigate between pages of a document; and insert, move, and delete pages in documents
  • Use text-formatting features of QuarkXPress to format characters and paragraphs, use the Find/Change command and Spell Check Utility, and link and unlink text boxes
  • Frame, lock, and rotate items; center the contents of an item; draw shapes using Bezier and Freehand tools, create tables, convert text to table, modify table cells, and delete tables, and create, merge, and delete layers
  • Create, edit, and use style sheets to format text, and change QuarkXPress Application and Document settings
  • Print documents and create and use print styles
