Students will get the most out of this one-day course, if their goal is to design interactive Web pages by using JavaScript. They will learn how to create image rollovers, add sound to Web pages, work with status bar messages and arrays, create custom objects and instances, handle errors, and work with frames and cookies.

After completing this course, students will know how to:

• Display messages and scrolling text on the status bar, add sound to Web pages, create image rollovers, and display images sequentially.
• Create, display, resize, and delete arrays and create custom objects and instances.
• Handle errors in JavaScript, use the JavaScript console, and handle browser compatibility issues.
• Work with frames.
• Set, modify, read, and delete cookie values
  

Target audience

Students should have familiarity with personal computers and the use of the keyboard and mouse. Students should have completed the JavaScript: Basic course or have equivalent knowledge and experience
