After completing this one-day course, students will know how to:

• Use the Tab Ruler palette and the advanced type features to modify text alignment, check the spelling and manipulate text on the artboard
• Modify shape and color objects by using the transform tools, the Pathfinder commands, gradient mesh tools and mask features
• Use filters and effects to change the shape, colors and texture of images
• Convert vector images to raster images and apply filters to create different effects on the raster images
• Work with a variety of file formats to save, link, embed, and export Illustrator files
• Add hyperlinks to artwork and save the file for the Web
• Automate repetitive tasks by creating actions; modifying actions by using nonrecordable commands, stop and modal controls

Target audience

You should be comfortable with the Windows operating system and have attended Illustrator 9 Basic or have equivalent experience. You'll get the most out of this course if your goal is to become a proficient graphics professional and create illustrations for both print and Web.
